18 th ANTIQUES IN THE CHURCH YARD, SUNDAY, JULY 4th

S. SALEM, NY…On Sunday, July 4 th , over three thousand customers will join 120 quality antiques dealers for the 18 th year. Before the fireworks and the barbeques another tradition continues on the front lawn of the tiny Stevens Memorial United Methodist Church, 8 Shady Lane at the corner of Route 123 in S. Salem, NY. Many just simply wouldn't miss this show in northern Westchester County on the border of New Canaan, Norwalk and Ridgefield, CT.

To get there from the Merritt Parkway exit 38, follow Route 123 North for 8 miles. From exit 6 off Route 684 follow Route 35 East for 9 miles and turn right onto Route 123 (sign says Vista) for approximately two miles. From Route 7 follow Route 35 West to Route 123. By train, the closest station is in New Canaan, CT, where cabs are located.

With a detailed receipt, customers can shop with confidence as all merchandise is sold with a money back guarantee as to age, condition and authenticity to the best of the dealer's ability. Reproductions and new merchandise are not permitted. Dogs are not allowed (even the carrying kind). Please do NOT expect to be admitted with four-legged friends and leaving pets in a car is not an option. This year representatives from TAILS (The Alliance In Limiting Strays) will display a poster of pets available for adoption.

When the church bell rings, at exactly 9 AM, the line of customers will quickly fill the aisles and not until the 5:00 closing will the excitement end with some of the biggest sales taking place just before closing. There is no admittance after 4:30 PM. The traditional "All You Can Eat" Pancake Breakfast, served inside the church, is $6 for adults and $4 for children. It runs from 9 - 11 AM. Last year hundreds of hungry early shoppers started their day well fortified. The popular Grandma's Attic of donated items will open simultaneously. Naturally hot dogs, hamburgers, Kettle Corn and ice cream will be available.
