He is adept at all types of caning and weaving including Danish Cord, Rush and Shaker Tape.  Bob will take your chairs in need of repair (and gluing) with him and do a professional job  so bring your chairs to the show.

On Sunday, March 6 th , The Cross River Winter Antiques Show in Northern Westchester County, NY, will run from 10 AM until 5 PM at John Jay High School, 60 N. Salem Road (Rte. 121 North) for the 8 th year. The show is a benefit for the PTO and will be sponsored by David Lerner Associates. The team from the William J. Jenack Appraisers and Auctioneers Gallery in Chester, NY will be doing verbal appraisals for $5 per item (three items per turn). The appraisal hours are from 11AM - 3 PM. William Jenack, owner and primary professional auctioneer, appraiser and educator, specializes in 18 th – 20 th Century decorative arts including paintings, furrniture, glass, carpets and even fountain pens. He is a designated member of the International Society of Appraisers and has served Mid–Hudson andd Metropolitan area attorneys, banks and insurance companies for over 30 years. Andrea Jenack, co-owner, primary appraiser and General Manager, specializes in antique jewelry, 19th – 20th Century silver, textiles & decorative arts. She iss a Graduate Gemologist, fluent in diamond evaluation, colored stones, & gem identification. Mrs. Jenack holds certificates from the Gemological Institute of America. Approximately 45 dealers will offer a huge variety of interesting and affordable antiques and collectibles. Some of what can be found includes framed cigarette cards in a variety of themes; vintage clothing from the Victorian era through the 1980's; fine antique and vintage costume jewelry; hats and ladies and men accessories; French enamelware for the kitchen and bath; art pottery including Stangl; J. S. Audubon 1 st edition Octavio quadruped and bird prints; 17 th – 19 th Century maps of local, state and international interest; Wallace Nutting prints; 17 th – 19 th Century botanical, bird,, fish and shell prints; English linens and English silver including serving pieces; a prize fighting bell; French iron figural doorstops; iron bank of George Washington; antique tools; American and European etchings and prints; kitchen collectibles from 1885 -1935; Oriental carpets and carpet restoration; collectible books; fine art; ephemera; furniture from antique through modern design; textiles; crystal lamps; Oriental wood block prints and artifacts; snuff boxes; tea caddies; Victorian hair (mourning) jewelry; brass candle and chamber sticks; collectible cameras; paper mache; Yale coffee set and plates; china; porcelain and glassware. All merchandise is guaranteed as to age, condition and authenticity to the best of the dealer's ability and reproductions are not permitted. From Route 684 exit 6 take Route 35 east for about 4 miles and turn left onto Route 121 North. The school entrance is a short distance on the left.
