Police Athletic League Building.APRIL 10, 11 2010THE DANBURY, CT, VINTAGE CLOTHING, ACCESSORIES, TEXTILES & JEWELRY SHOW & SALE IS NOT JUST FOR WOMENDanbury, CT…. On April 10, 11, Stacy LoAlbo, known as Thee Vintage Maven, and owner/proprietor of Incogneeto, will be signing her just released book (published by Krause) titled Vintage Fashion Accessories, at The Danbury Vintage Clothing, Accessories, Textiles and Jewelry Show and Sale.The location is the PAL (Police Athletic League) Building, 25 Hayestown Road, Danbury, CT. Show hours are from 10 AM - 5 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. LoAlbo's passion for vintage fashion began in her teens while shopping at thrift stores. Realizing that she couldn't fit into all her unique finds, she decided to start selling. With the help of her daughter, Hallie, who can be seen modeling in the book, she now operates a 1000 square foot store in Somerville, NJ. Her book is both informative and fun with over 1000 full color photographs of vintage accessories. Brian Benedict of Patterson, NY will bring Military Uniforms and accoutrements. Eras represented will be the Spanish American War to The Grenada Invasion. Many of the items will have a crossover interest from collectible to fashion. Viet Nam vintage field jackets are hot on the fashion scene in NY. World War I material is approaching the 100-year mark. From battle jackets to trench coats, clothing history will be on sale by The Duffle Bag. Lynda Kolski from Arden, DE, will offer a large textile selection including 1930's - 50's brightly decorated tablecloths, formal lace table clothes, vintage fabrics and accessories. Karen Redinger from Litchfield, CT, will also add textiles, linens, vintage clothing and buttons. Elaine Klausman of Vintage with a Twist, Bedford, NY, has a keen eye for ageless fashion, and she will offer ladies shoes, hats, clothing and accessories in high style. Dolores and Shannon Dalton of Brick, NJ, specialize in vintage buttons, fabric, and clothing for men and women from the 1920's - 60's. They always have a selection of ladies vintage dainties including slips for the mini shirt and vintage bras. Pat Frazer, Easton, CT dealer, will have pre 1990 jewelry and fun accessories; Sheryl Muzzillo from Prospect, CT, will bring Victorian to the 1980's clothing, buttons, linens, lace, costume jewelry, hats and accessories; Brenda Sabbatino, New Milford, CT also offers vintage clothing and Fran and Jerry Schwartz of Harrisburg, PA will return with jewelry featuring vintage silver, gold, Victorian to plastics; Michal Feinmesser, Highland Park, NJ will present a booth of vintage fabric, clothing and jewelry while David and Ann Lowe from Hackettstown, PA, will have fur coats and vintage costume jewelry, just as a sampling. The PAL Building is less than five minutes from I-84 Eastbound exit 5; Westbound exit 6. By train, the Metro-North Danbury Line station is 2.6 miles from the show.
